The Effects of the Literary Activity-based Training Program on Visual Perception and Activity Daily Living Skills With Intellectual Disabilities

Abstract

|
Objective : The purpose of this study of the literary activity-based training program for mentally disabled children¡¯s perceptions of each message and its effects on everyday function is to learn about.
Methods: When looking for a problem of perception and intellectual disability in everyday life for children 9 years of age with the consent of their parents five weeks three times a week, 30 minutes late at 1:01 in the center of literary activity conducted training programs . Perceptual training program for pre and post test of the Motor-Free Visual Perception Test-3( MVPT-3) and evaluate the list of pediatric disorders(Pediatric Evaluation of Disability Inventory; PEDI) was used.
Results: The children¡¯s Motor-Free Visual Perception Test-3(MVPT-3) results raw score 27 points 31 points ten thousand only from 6 years 2 months to 8 years has improved. List of pediatric disability rating (Pediatric Evaluation of Disability Inventory; PEDI) in the pre-and post-assessment 37 points 39 points in the self-care showed improvement in scores, social functioning score of 59 points 62 points but mobility score of 54 points 54 points did not change.
Conclusions: In this study, the center of literary activity during the perceptual training program on intellectual perception and everyday life of a child with a disability function appeared to be effective.
